Remove 100% Of The Hidden Contaminants Hiding In Your Coffee Maker & Filters

BPA

Many coffee makers contain plastic parts that come into contact with hot water. When exposed to heat, these plastics may leach chemicals like BPA and phthalates, which can disrupt hormones and contribute to health issues. Our all-glass coffee maker eliminates plastic exposure, ensuring your coffee is as pure as possible.

Bleached Paper

Most white paper filters are treated with bleaching agents, including chlorine, to achieve their bright color. This process can leave behind trace chemicals like dioxins, which may seep into your coffee during brewing. Dioxins are linked to health risks like hormonal disruptions and environmental concerns. Our all-glass coffee maker and natural filtering system let you brew without exposure to bleached or treated materials, so your coffee remains as pure as nature intended.

Heavy Metals

Many coffee makers contain metal parts in the heating elements, water reservoirs, or filters, which can sometimes release trace amounts of heavy metals like lead, nickel, or cadmium into your brew. Over time, even small amounts of these metals can accumulate in the body, posing potential health risks. Our all-glass coffee maker is entirely metal-free, ensuring you enjoy coffee that’s pure, untainted, and free from any risk of heavy metal contamination.

Micro-Plastics

Traditional coffee makers often contain plastic parts that can break down over time, releasing microplastics into your coffee. These tiny plastic particles are nearly impossible to filter out and can accumulate in the body, with potential long-term health effects still being uncovered. Our all-glass coffee maker contains zero plastic, so you can sip confidently, knowing your coffee is completely free from microplastics and other contaminants.

MOLD

Many coffee makers have hidden reservoirs, tubing, and crevices where moisture can linger, creating an ideal environment for mold growth. This mold can contaminate your coffee, affecting its flavor and potentially posing health risks with prolonged exposure. Our all-glass coffee maker is designed without concealed parts, making it easy to clean thoroughly so every cup you brew is fresh, pure, and mold-free.

DETERGENT

Traditional coffee makers often have intricate parts that are difficult to clean fully, leading to detergent residues lingering in nooks and crannies. These residues can leach into your coffee, introducing unwanted chemicals and altering the taste of your brew. With our all-glass coffee maker, every part is easy to rinse and naturally non-porous, ensuring you enjoy a pure, untainted coffee experience, free from detergent residue.

The Worlds Cleanest (And Best Tasting) Coffee Experience

Brew the perfect cup of coffee in 3 simple steps.

1. Grind & Prep

For the perfect brew with Vidro, use a medium-coarse grind — similar to sea salt — to create an ideal coffee bed for natural filtration. For one cup (about 10 oz), use 18–20 grams of coffee (roughly 3 to 3.5 tablespoons). If you're brewing two cups back-to-back, simply repeat the process with fresh grounds for each brew to maintain flavor and clarity. Reusing the same grounds will lead to a weak, over-extracted cup. Fresh grounds every time ensure you get the full, rich character of your coffee in every pour.

2. Bloom & Brew

Heat your water to 195–205°F *(90–96°C) — just below boiling — to unlock the full character of your coffee. Begin with the bloom, gently pouring a small amount of water to saturate the grounds and let them rest for about 45 seconds. This moment allows the coffee to "wake up," releasing natural gases and preparing for a smooth extraction. Then, continue pouring slowly, keeping the grounds evenly soaked without disturbing the coffee bed. Let gravity and time do their work; your brew will finish in about 3 to 4 minutes. If you wish to brew a second cup, simply repeat the process with fresh grounds to enjoy the same depth of flavor.

3. Pour & Savor

Once your brew is finished and all water has drained into the vessel, remove the top chamber, pour, and enjoy. With Vidro’s natural filtration, you get a clean, flavorful cup — no paper filters, no mold, no microplastics, just pure coffee. Sip and savor.

How does Vidro filter the coffee?

Vidro uses cake filtration, which is the natural process where the coffee grounds themselves become the filter. As you brew with Vidro, the grounds settle and compact into a dense "coffee bed," which traps fine particles and filters the water as it passes through. This method delivers a clean, flavorful cup without the need for paper or metal filters, while preserving the natural oils that give your coffee richness and depth.

How much coffee do I use?

For one standard cup (about 10 oz), we recommend using 18–20 grams of coffee, or roughly 3 to 3.5 tablespoons of medium-coarse grounds. This hits the sweet spot for a balanced, flavorful brew using Vidro’s natural cake filtration. You can adjust slightly based on your taste — a little more for a stronger cup, or a little less for something lighter.

Does Vidro need paper filters?

Nope! Vidro doesn’t require any paper filters. The coffee grounds themselves act as the natural filter through a process called cake filtration. As you brew, the grounds form a dense coffee bed that traps fine particles while allowing rich flavors and natural oils to pass through. It’s a cleaner cup, less waste, and no paper taste — just pure, beautiful coffee. So, you can avoid chemicals and impurities while also saving money with every brew.

How long does it take to brew with Vidro?

Brewing with Vidro takes about 3 to 4 minutes from start to finish. Start with a 30-second bloom to let the coffee release gases, then slowly pour the rest of your water over the grounds and let it naturally filter through. The exact time depends on your grind size and pour speed, but the result is always a smooth, flavorful cup.

Does sediment fall into my coffee cup?

Vidro’s natural cake filtration keeps most sediment out of your cup, delivering a clean and smooth brew. As the coffee grounds settle, they form a natural filter that traps fine particles while still allowing flavorful oils to pass through. For the cleanest cup, we recommend using a medium-coarse grind, a 45 second bloom and pouring gently to avoid disturbing the coffee bed. While you might notice a tiny bit of sediment at the very end of the pour, it’s minimal — and part of the character of a handcrafted brew.

How do I clean my Vidro?

After each brew, discard the grounds and rinse thoroughly with warm water. For a deeper clean, soak in warm water with mild dish soap every week or two. For hard water stains, use a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water. No harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing needed.
